Where can I refill drinking water in Kenton-on-Sea?
Kenton Pure Water at 5 Kenton Road, Kenton-on-Sea (next to Kenton Asia Restaurant) refills your own containers with purified drinking water. Our self-service Water ATM is open 24 hours a day, and staff are on site Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and Saturday 08:00–15:00.
Is there a 24-hour water refill in Kenton-on-Sea?
Yes. Kenton Pure Water runs a 24-hour Water ATM at 5 Kenton Road. Tap your Visa or Mastercard bank card, choose how many litres you need (1 to 25 litres), and fill your own container — day or night, including Sundays and public holidays.
How much does a water refill cost in Kenton-on-Sea?
At Kenton Pure Water a refill costs R1 per litre during our launch special, which runs until January 2027. A 25-litre refill is R25. Loyalty card holders get their 10th 25-litre refill free after buying nine.
Is Kenton-on-Sea tap water safe to drink?
Kenton's municipal water comes from a reverse osmosis plant and a local aquifer, and supply has been interrupted by outages in recent years. If you prefer certainty, our water is purified by reverse osmosis, then treated with ozone and UV light, and is independently lab-tested.
What can I do when the water is off in Kenton or Bushman's?
Our 24-hour Water ATM keeps running when municipal water is off, so you can fill containers for drinking and cooking at any time. Bring clean containers to 5 Kenton Road, Kenton-on-Sea, tap your card and fill up to 25 litres per container.
How does the Water ATM work?
Place your clean container under the nozzle, tap your Visa or Mastercard (contactless) on the card reader, select the number of litres, and the machine fills your container. The minimum fill is 1 litre and the maximum is 25 litres per container.
Which payment methods does the Water ATM accept?
The Water ATM accepts contactless tap payments with Visa and Mastercard bank cards. Cash is not accepted at the machine.
How is the water purified?
Every litre goes through three stages: reverse osmosis filtration removes dissolved salts and impurities, ozonation disinfects the water, and ultraviolet (UV) light provides a final disinfection step before it reaches your container.
Do I need to bring my own container?
Yes, bring a clean container of 1 to 25 litres. If you don't have one, refillable containers are available at the shop during staffed hours — ask our staff for current sizes and prices.
How does the loyalty card work?
Ask for a loyalty stamp card in store. You get one stamp for every 25-litre refill. After nine stamps, your 10th 25-litre refill is free.
